Really glad I had the option for 2d, was worried I'd be stuck with 3d. Not for me. Glasses never fit over my prescription specs and I end up with a bad headache (probabaly something to do with wearing the glasses over my glasses.

1:40 AM, 3D, IMAX. I wish it wasn't 3D, but them's the breaks.

--<No Spoilers>--

I liked it. Didn't love it but liked it.

Acting/Writing/Effects are all excellent, as promised a great mix of practical effects (where practical) and CGI (where not). Nice to watch a Star Wars movie with actors that don't sound like they're reading off cue cards.

Plot was good but a little heavy on the nostalgia. Should make the hardcore fans clap like trained seals but made me feel at times like I was watching an alternate reality version of A new Hope.

Overall 8/10. Will go see again. 8-)

I'm not sure I'm going to see it. (Disney + J. J. Abrams) - George Lucas = FAIL. I really don't want to walk out of the theater feeling like somebody who just paid $150 to hear Rob Halford or Brian Johnson try to sing with destroyed voices. :(

I don't think I'll go see it either. I am not that big of a star wars fan, although I like it. The spoilers are the main concern, but whatevs. I'll eventually end up seeing it.

At this point I honestly have to say that Lucas not being involved is a good thing. I don't know WTF came over the guy but between the constant re-editing of the original movies and the terrible prequels I don't trust him with the franchise anymore.
Straight up honest? No it's not as good as the original 3.....but nothing ever will be. The "Rose Colored Glasses" effect makes everything suck compared to that first movie you saw as a kid. It is pretty good though. 8-)

I think it was a worthy successor to the original trilogy.

Star Wars is back!
What more else needs to be said?

I saw it in glorious-2D and loved the experience.
