I originally heard the riddle as two "cats", but decided that using that word might help give away the answer, so I decided to substitute a species of cat, and chose "cheetahs", because of their speed.


Except that they CAN and DO swim. I've seem videos of cheetahs, leopards and even tigers swim across streams.

Then there's this...not a cheetah, mind you. But you get the idea:

I do know that they swim. In fact, in the riddle, "One-Two-Three" did make it. 8-)
