Definitely playoff hockey, not a dull moment. Predators were a little edgy at first it seemed, but as the 2nd period got on the started to pour it on and got themselves a 2-0 lead. A late cheezy penalty resulted in a late PP goal, leaving things 2-1 going into the 3rd. They seemed back on their heels a bit, as the Ducks came on. But they prevailed, adding an empty netter to win 3-1 and forcing Game Seven Wednesday. Lovely

It was an ugly goal, but they all count. St Louis takes game 7 3-2. Can't cheer honestly for them, since I admittedly a Hawks fan. Ah well, See who they match up in Round 2

No games scheduled for Tuesday. Wednesday however has game 7 with Nashville in Anaheim, and Round 2 kicks off with NY Islanders in Tampa

Islanders take Game 1, 5-3; it was closer really, even though had been 4-1 at start of 3rd. However, for whatever reason, the Islanders played more defensive, and sure enough, a PP goal score, and it was more or less trying to stem the tide from that point. An empty netter secured the win, but it was an example of why you should never take your skate off the enemy's throat. Ever.
Side note, the Islanders coach took a puck in the head and was taken off for half the period . That bad enough, but coming back and look up and it's , fuck me, 4-3. 4-1 when I got knocked cold....

Waiting on late game. Go Preds!

Predators win the Game 2-1 and the series 4-3. Not the best game seven ever watched, but it was pretty damn good.
