Outstanding picture!
As Robert noted, each sunset shot is unique in its own way. In fact, a sunset itself is comprised of various, individual phases each unique in color and lighting.
Is that a harbor entrance or water break going across the image below the sunset?

Re: 2010 Shipping Pics
Thanks, it did turn out not bad considering it was one of those run in and grab the camera for quick shooting before running ashore for supplies
WB: Yes thats looking out through Goderich, Ont piers onto Lake Huron -- port for loading salt, and also has a grain elevator -- we take a lot of salt out of there, and with the winter looking pretty normal this year, more to come
PM: Well, it is November so its closer to the end....
But we may be running late this year, if it comes to it. Also depends on the demand for salt, usually in the Milwaukee/Chicago ports, as well as Green Bay and a few smaller ones.

Out on Huron today in almost-gale, slogging north slowly at reduced speed to keep from working too much. Not that bad, maybe 10' seas now up north of Saginaw Bay, but starting to die out. Plus, this ensures that we get the Mack Bridge tonight, just wouldnt be right if the 12-4 missed that....

That water looks freaking cold... but considering the time of year, not all that surprising...
Any sign of snow in the air?

Yes actually
Was snowing going back the deck today for supper, air temp this afternoon was around +2 and blowing pretty hard; I think its going to be a pretty cold winter this year.

Nice pictures!
The heavy lift ship appears to be making good headway looking at how the water is breaking at her bow.
St. Mary's Challenger looks to be an oldie, but a goodie.
Great night shot of Cleveland, and the tug adds to the overall feel of the image.
And, when you look at the image of the gray water and gray skies, you can almost hear Gordon Lightfoot in the background singing about the gales of November.

Most old steamboats have engine rooms that are clean enough to eat off of; that mind you because they are steamboats after all

Beautiful pictures!
Those booms seem to come in really handy for off-loading. Just dock next to the customer's property, swing the boom over, and leave him the resources before pulling out.
Impressive rocks, by the way.
