Re: NHL Playoffs 2015
2-1 Hawks final
The Bolts laying back was a big mistake, not only tactically, but against a team like the Hawks?
Fail
There's no way on this earth, I would be trying to preserve a 1-0 lead. You gotta put the pedal to the floor. THERE IS NO TOMORROW
Hawks take a 1-0 series lead, and all the other yadda yadda. It was a good game though, but you could have scripted the ending

Re: NHL Playoffs 2015
Bolts , corrected the flaw in plan tonight, and stormed back like a Boss, for a solid 4-3 victory and even the series at 1 apiece. The bigger issue is the possible injury to Bishop. Most teams losing the primary goaltender would be a red alert screaming disaster. But the Bolts did not play like that, and handled it well. But let's face the facts: Bishop is their guy. And no questions were taken or answered about him. Short of leg amputation, they wont, either. Game 3 goes Monday.

Poor Bishop... let's pray it's not a career-ending injury.

Re: NHL Playoffs 2015
After all the talky talk, Bishop started and played the entire game. But you could clearly see he was hurting bad. But this is the Cup
People have nearly died -literally for this. One of the primary reasons I remain a Canadiens -hater , is the series back in the 90s, Roy was again, with no support trying to take on Boston. With fucking appendix near bursting. And almost did. And the asshole fans blaming him for fucking LOSING?? You ARE SCUM
When he went to Colorado, and came back and rammed it down their throats, CHOKE, bitches, and then won the cup twice, was beyond satisfying.
Tonight , game wise it was bursts of action and boring mixed. Lightning scored a late goal to edge the Hawks 3-2 and take a 2-1 series lead.
Game 4 goes Wed at 8pm

Re: NHL Playoffs 2015
Any further speculation on how bad Bishop is hurt is suspended; he did not even suit up. Andrei Vasilevskiy replaced him in his first ever Stanley Cup Final game. The kid played well, but the Bolts offence was lacking, keeping the game 1-1 until Brandon Saad scored the game winner late in the 3rd. Series now tied 2-2 and Game Five goes Saturday night in Tampa.

Re: NHL Playoffs 2015
Bishop played, and generally did well. BUT a collossal balls up in the 1st cost a goal, and that was the difference in a 2-1 Hawks victory. Hawks lead series 3-2 and can take the cup on Monday night at home. Crunch time
Now normally I dont believe in hockey cheerleaders. But, in this case, why not

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give to you, the 2015 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Black Hawks
2-0 final score, it wasn't exactly a barn burner but they got the job done.
Crawford with the shutout win ties Tony Esposito with most playoff wins in Chicago history
And the NHL manages to fuck-up even success The Cup is not in the building, something weather related. Last time this happened was 19-fucking -38. Stay tuned....

Finally
Duncan Keith wins the Conn Smythe trophy
And the Hawks hoist their 3rd cup in 6 years
Immortality
it doesn't come any closer than this

Re: NHL Playoffs 2015
Time should also be taken to salute the Bolts; 2 wins short is hard to take, but it's not like they rolled over. NO other sport plays 2 months of playoffs at this skill level or intensity. This game was the entire nature of hockey at the elite level. One single mistake, one overplayed hit, and 6 seconds later.... its all over. NOTHING comes close.
