The '40's are hard to find, and if you do find one they guy selling it will want way more than it's worth. If you're looking for something that shoots 7.62 x 54 try these guys. I've heard nothing but good things.

But think of all the money you'll save shooting that cheap surplus ammo! Honestly you'll pay about the same for an SVT 40 but you'll get a modern rifle instead of an antique.
Or you could always go buy a six pack of Mosin Nagants for that much haha.....Those things make me wish I was right handed.
