I'd take that, but the look is more Z-95; 2 engines instead of 4; no astromech socket. Way shorter, smaller than an X. It has the right dirtied up look , which is pretty much needed. I swear though, if comrade lens flare pulls that shit.....

I almost forgot the Headhunter existed, could very well be what that is. No hyper drive so no need for an astromech and thats why the fuselage is shorter. If I remember my canon correctly they come standard with triple blasters on each wing but they're supposed to be easy modified, so I'll give them a pass on the X-Wing style laser cannons. Also by time this movie is supposed to take place it would be about twice as old as me which would explain the crustiness lol.

The Z-95 first appeared in the late great Brian Daley's Han Solo at Star's End with exactly the configuration you describe; triple blaster cannon in each wing with a bubble canopy. They became more X-Wing in look as the model evolved. What was interesting was even then he described it as a clone war era fighter.

The box with my star wars paperbacks in it downstairs has to weigh at least 100lbs haha......not all of them are great but I read them anyway. Fav is still Timothy Zahn's Thrawn trilogy. Death Troopers was the latest one I read (proof that anything can be made more awesome with zombies).

Some of Zahn's stuff was good, but the minimalism of the series and too much of the EU remained a glaring flaw for nearly every one of them. Daley only did the three, but they were dead-on for the characters and had the right bead on the 'verse. Also introduced battle droids nearly 20 years before we saw them on screen. It was a pity nothing was used on screen, but that was 1980 The Bond-esque speeder chase in Han Solo and the Lost Legacy was classic complete with plenty craziness and 'splosions When Chewie was snuffling and moaning over the trashed limo, and the female lead asked what his problem was, Solo's "oh, he's upset he won't get his damage deposit back..." was pure Han Solo
