I keep waiting for them to just fast-forward to gladiatoral games with real weapons when WWE gets boring, or something..... :D

Whoahhh.

Is there nothing that "reality TV" won't try to do to catch our attention these days?

Nahh, though, I don't think I'll tune in. If the weather's good, I have mudpits to visit and a dog to walk. And if it's lousy outside, I might wash dishes.

You can visit mudpits in December? I'm envious...

I don't know yet. Depends on how long it takes that spring-fed mudpit to freeze. I have sunk in December -- during weather-lucky years!

My health is returning. I'm not 100% but about 95%, so if the snow hasn't fallen and the ice isn't on top, yep, I can go.

Ok, so I'm not the only one that noticed that. ;)

I must have a low threshold or something, but seeing nice looking gals (especially the girl-next-door look the dark-skinned gal) on the periphery of stuff like this rocks my boat.

Me too! :D Although I was holding out hope the gals would end up struggling in something muddy while the guy played with the snake. ;)

Works for me! A single elimination (heh heh heh) tournament, survivor- er, winner gets transferred to a special prison with a swimming pool, alcohol, tobacco, whores (would have to build it in Nevada) and all the comforts the TV producers can supply. Forget playing the ponies or basketball brackets- this I could get into watching and betting on. Hire famous fighters from the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) to do color commentary. Guys like Duke Sir Siegfried von Halstern, Master Feral von Halstern, Duke Master Randall of the Dark Horde, Master Master Tearlach the Profane (he's both a mastersmith and master-at-arms, so Master Master), Duke Sir Cariadoc of the Bow. . . these guys know their stuff.

Show was a total let down. Two hours of obviously scripted "reality" TV, followed by 5 minutes of watching a guy in a shitty batman costume piss off a snake. Which would've been funny except it's only for five minutes. The Anaconda, hilariously enough, shows no interest in him at first, he has to kick it twice to piss it off enough to bit him, then the minute it throws a coil around him he cries like a bitch and has to be rescued. At one point Cuddles actually does start nomming his head (protected by a helmet) but she never comes close to actually swallowing him like advertised.
