A note should be put up on an annual basis to remember September 11, now such a distant memory for some unlike this member of our little community who came down the stairs from the 101st floor of the South tower that day.

The tone of the day becomes more subued with each passing year. Good because it shows that a healing of sorts is taking place but leaves you feeling a little guilty like you're not feeling it enough to honor thise that died.
Have to get out to NYC one of these years to see the memorial......

for my parents, December 7th never lost it's emotional power
for me, before 9/11, JFK's assassination was The Day You Never Forget
both are still recognized, but for subsequent generations, they just can't have the same impact
so... Never for those of us who lived through it
