Another movie from a couple years back that slipped through the cracks, one of those films that is way better than you'd think, and vastly underrated. A Ronnie Howard film, and likely the best F1 Movie made since Grand Prix, if not better than that. Hans Zimmer did the track, so that alone is beautiful. The cheap bastards on youtube want you to pay for the full movie now but a couple good clips from it. The focus is the rivalry between Niki Lauda and James Hunt, some things perhaps genned up for screening, but more or less on target. If you can get it, watch the whole thing. The fire scene with Niki in his crash at the 'Ring is hard to watch, as is the treatment stuff. But the Monza stuff is awesome; when you see it, it's Yeah. THAT's a race car driver Watch for the real guy at the finale of the film

Amazing reproduction of Niki's and his wife's faces. And amazingly exact reproduction of the crash.

I was a big fan of Niki Lauda (especially after he founded his airline and got license to pilot all types of aircraft that he had then). I also was a big fan of Alain Prost. I respect Michael Schumacher but maybe he became famous when I already lost significant part of my interest in F1.
