Quicksand Fans

I wonder, what kind of non-QS artworks do you all like drawing?

Outside of QS, I like drawing streets, traffic signals, world maps, fictional street maps, and NFL football-theme artworks including fictional NFL teams.

I wonder, what kind of Non-QS works do you all like drawing? I figured I'd share some art interests outside QS.

I like to do general damsel-in-distress artwork. I also like to draw (get ready for this) political cartoons. I consider myself a non-partisan, equal opporunity offender. I've had people call me a dirty rotten liberal and a dirty rotten conservative. I will just say the current occupant of the White House and his opponents have given me a lot of material.

For me, the thrill and fun of Damsels in Distress is in the suspense of it all. Will he catch her? Will she fight him off? If he ties her up, will get away? Will she suffer a fate worse than death? Excuse me while I catch my breath.

I also like to throw in humor from time to time.

Since this is the off-topic forum, I've attached three examples. In the first, I have a "Star Trek" DiD scene where a nasty Klingon has his own low-tech but effective way of dealing with three Star Fleet cuties (I liked the Klingons before they developed those bumps on their foreheads. I'll bet that was the result of Scotty beaming the tribbles in Cmdr. Koloth's engine room ).

In the second, one of my early theme parks guides has found there's a reason that snake on the jungle ride looked a little too real.

In the final pic, our cute ranger calls her dog the Wonder Dog. That's because he leaves her wondering where Lassie and Rin Tin Tin are when you really need them. Say, would anyone like to see her in quicksand?

Anyway, that's what I like to draw.

I had a lot of time.

Last I checked, he and that fish were still exactly like that. They're taxidermied.

All the same, Nessie, this is one very impressive drawing. I've always admired those who can get such detail into their artwork, partly because it's always been so difficult for me. I also don't have the patience for it. You are obviously a talented and patient artist. Thanks for sharing a piece of your work.

I began drawing after I started making video games on my computer so I could design characters.
I really don't draw a lot of messy stuff.




I'm also trying to work on a comic now. It's coming along pretty slowly.

Well, clearly I like to draw women. Here is a drawing of the arch-Paladin Pelinor, vampire hunter and loyal friend to all those who battle the undead. The drawing is inspired by the works of Polish Avant Garde artist Tamara de Lempicka as well as from characters like Amelia Earhart and Joan of Arc, Maid of Orleans. If you want one person by your side when all others flee, it's Pelinor.

Here is a drawing of Quella Anas Anarion, friend of Pelinor and High Elven Healer. Her 'lighter' tone reflects my love for the works of Tolkien and longstanding enchantment with the Elven races. Quella believes all the ills of the world can be healed and often, at great peril to herself, proves this.
