Quicksand Fans

So, I went to this used bookstore close to my house. This was my first visit in almost a year. It's amazing how much things change in a year! It was an unplanned visit, but I went there looking for a few CDs. I was specifically looking for the Krokus album Headhunter and the Robert Plant album Now and Zen. I was a little disappointed when I found neither of those, but I still found some cool things!

There is an extreme amount of glare in the photo, so I'll list here what I found in addition to posting a photo.

DVDs

District 9 I haven't seen it yet, but I remember being crazy obsessed with the movie when I was 18! Remember the interactive website used to promote the movie? Sadly, I wasn't able to see it in theaters, or see it ever. For those who have seen it, without spoiling anything, does anyone burn in this movie? I need to know because I can't watch people burn otherwise I become ill.

Big Trouble in Little China I love Big Trouble in Little China and I love the soundtrack! I saw it on Netflix first, but had to have the DVD! I remember sharing some of my favorite music from the movie with a guy friend and learned he's into John Carpenter music too! One of my dreams is to be sitting or lying next to my guy friend while he and I watch Big Trouble in Little China, at night or on a gloomy day! Silly, I know, but it's the little things that mean the most!

Best of the Best Best of the Best 1 and 2 are both amazing films! Now, I need the second film! Both are some of my favorite movies! I think I saw Best of the Best on Netflix many years ago.

Haul and pick up photos/videos are somewhat popular with the Facebook group I'm a part of and are quite popular on YouTube. I thought It'd be cool to start a thread where we could all share with each other the cool things we've picked up along the way! I'm interested in what sort of things people find interesting and/or worth mentioning!

Yard sales are where you can really make out like a bandit on used books. I can pick up early Stephen King 1st Editions that look like they were read once and put on a shelf for 30 years, 25 cents.

If you are into rare second-hand books you oughta visit London around the end of October and visit the Anarchist Book Fair; last time I went I got an authentic first edition of The Little Red Schoolbook and of Jerry Rubin's "DO IT!"; I took my nephew (he'd tried to get tickets for ComicCon but been unlucky) and he was delighted ; "Wow!" he said, "REAL mutants!" (he's into X-Men, and the event attracts a lot of VERY colourful people). It's held in London every year, around the last Saturday in October; google "London Anarchist Book Fair" for venue.

I've never heard of Forbidden Zone! I most certainly need to check that out!
