Kind of ironic that the worst reactor accident in history actually ended up being good for the wildlife.

Interesting stuff. And someone had just did a bit on how we dont know as much as we think we know about radiation effects. Maybe so. But I still sticking with too much = bad

I have a relative that X-Rays gas lines for a living so I've picked up on some of it over the years, the amount of exposure he's allowed per safety regulations is fucking scary when you compare it to normal everyday exposure.

If I were writing the regulations I would mandate that every nuclear tech (from all countries) visit Ukraine and take a walking tour of Pripyat before they were allowed to touch a reactor. Make them stand in front of that firefighter memorial and really drive home that safety is NOT an option.
