Seriously, folks- this is the Information Age. When a package's status is "in transit" and there is no update for more than 24 hours, shouldn't that set some kind of flag in their system? Every facility supervisor (or whatever the title) should have a report on missing/overdue packages on their email at the start of every shift, with the oldest ones at the top of the list.
This really pisses me off. FedEx had ONE job- and they completely blew it. It wasn't anything to tempt a thief- just a couple roll ends of latex sheeting. Plus it's not the sort of thing that would be hard to spot in their "Lost & Found" (if they even have such a thing.)
I really hate humans. They always let you down somehow.
