From Hickok45, the 629 Competitor, from
the Performance CentreAt 1500 bucks used, definitely not cheap, with the fancy fiber optic sights and the weights for the barrel. Still, a good shooter. The non-standard cylinder release doesn't do anything for me, I'm with the Big Guy there
"Lets see if can hit the gong" with last round of first 6. BOOM! Whang! One Handed..... wise ass

Price is beyond ridiculous. I can get a nice Desert Eagle in .44 Mag for a grand. Good caliber though, ammo is plentiful and relatively cheap. If I could do it over again I'd get my BFR chambered in .44 instead of .500 S&W.

Yeah, it will appeal to those with more money than sense, and there are plenty of those. Even for looks, the standard SW 629 on the table looks way better. And likely shoots just as good if not better

Bonus added just last night, from when was down visiting Machinegun Mike in Texas
Browning BAR Full Auto circa 1919, full auto model with only slow or fast-fire to choose from. An ungainly beast, and if the Big Guy fighting to carry it (shooting is easy, its reloading it and holding while doing that with the monster hard) it must be a serious chunk of iron.

I can't imagine trying to use that thing in actual combat. My deer gun is a bolt 30-06, shoot a box of shells (like 20 rounds) through that bitch and your shoulder hurts for days. On the plus side if you manage to hit somebody with it the poor bastard in question is NOT getiting up again.

I think he mentions that Myn, in the sense that the bloody thing is so heavy, it soaks up just about all the recoil. But as you say, 30-06, 20 rounds per mag at a time, and you likely festooned with magazines. You can see why you need someone with you just as a pack mule for more ammo
