Omega Cop is an early 1990's, obscure, post-apocalyptic film. The majority of the movie consist of on foot chase scenes, the occasional action sequence, and a few explosions. Its overall look suggest it was made on a shoestring budget and its score is simple, but effective in setting the tone. Truth be told, I enjoyed the score and would buy the soundtrack in a heartbeat if it existed. There are also a few "real songs" sprinkled throughout. They are catchy, but I felt they were included to trick viewers into believing the film was much more than a b-movie. Those songs aren't listed in the credits, so good luck find any info on them if you enjoyed them.
Omega Cop isn't for everyone, but it's a fun little movie. Something that doesn't require any thinking, but is entertaining. I first saw Omega Cop a few years ago and loved it! I've been debating on whether or not to share my discovery with you all, figuring no one would care. Then I realized someone may have been looking for this movie just as I was. I don't know...
Oh, yeah, don't watch the sequel, Karate Cop! It was terrible beyond belief! Even by my standards!
