Not sure if all Yahoo users got this, but a few weeks back, I received the following email:
Upon further investigation, I learned that starting August 5, 2016 Yahoo Messenger conversation history will no longer be archived in Yahoo Mail. It will disappear. It is said that Yahoo will provide download instructions for downloading all conversation histories, but knowing Yahoo's track record, they can't be trusted. Because of this, I created a 2min instructional video (no audio) showing how to quickly and easily archive Yahoo Messenger conversations. In theory, my method should work because the conversations are being moved from the "Instant Messages" folder, and I believe that is the folder that will disappear come August. A link to the video will be down below. Trust me, you do not want to copy and paste 300 some odd pages worth of conversations to Google Docs! I've done it before. It was both frustrating and time consuming, but worth it! I hope my method works for those of you who have conversations you want to save!

Also, I used an alternate, semi-throwaway email account in my video, so I'm not putting my or anyone else's privacy at risk.
One last thing. The messages I saved during my test run couldn't be viewed in Google Chrome, but worked fine in Firefox, Opera, and worked fine with my Android tablet.
I hope this helps at least one person out there! I like to help others when I can! There must be a few of you out there who have conversations they want archived.
Edit: The messages are view-able in Google Chrome.
