Accident: Emirates B773 at Dubai on Aug 3rd 2016, touched down during go-around without gear, aircraft on fire

Just the facts so far. Although a lot is being made of the tower callout "check gear down, clear to land" business, that could just be SOP here. On the other hand, they did land with the frabbing gear up, so, make of that as you will. How they managed THAT without the GPWS screaming PULLUP!PULLUP!PULLUP! in their ear I don't know (Actually , I CAN think of one way, but it's under the "are you fucking retarded?" heading....) No casualties. THAT part is good, and lucky

Casualties amended to one firefighter killed (reason not stated yet) and the usual minor scuffs on the slides. Additional vid on the Avherald link now. And makes me want to start having these fucking semi-sentient cargo loaded on pallets strapped down and perhaps under anesthesia for the trip. They actually, during the fucking EVAC, stopped in a mad chaos that makes you want a fucking machine gun, to take the 300 fucking lbs of carryon bullshit they crammed into the overheads.
