From CDR Sal

The Powerpoint weenies are preparing their next new uber-tech toy sell, and Sal is getting ahead of the curve. Pretty good job of fisking the assholes too. Killing them the better solution, but that's just me

Agree this is something that needs to be done in small increments but not with the overall drone hate. It's a sound concept that with a little R & D can be implemented in a variety of roles just like the article says.
The most important component of any weapon system is the part that wears the uniform. Keeping said component away from the stuff that's blowing up is good.

Drones have been used since the 70s, and will continue to be useful. It's the people that are currently fucking retards. The breathtaking, sheer, utter fucking arrogance of the piece just makes you want to kill and break things. "Unjammable comm links, etc etc etc..."
Yeah , we oh-so fucking have that, mmm? And don't even bother asking what they going to do about the necessary bandwidth needed for all their new SHINY! toys.

This is the same retardation that right now, starting back in the early 1990s, has given us Carrier Decks, populated exclusively with Short-Ranged, Limited Payload Strike Fighters. But F-18 UBER ALLES!!. Jesus Christ
