Greek AH-64 Apache flathats, crashes

What's Greek for "hold my beer and watch this!" ?
Take more 'n two coats of paint...And they both survived. Although I am uncertain they would think that was such a good thing....

Ouch. I have wondered at the purpose of flying a rotorcraft in that manner.

It's not a unique thing , either
This video from 2012 shows a US Army Apache also hotdogging it in snowy Afghanistan, with even more spectacular results. Having young guys and hot flying machines can result in impared judgement

I don't know if I mentioned this before- I have also wondered if the early crashes of the V-22 Osprey were caused by pilots trying to flare a landing in an aircraft that has way too low a mass/lift ratio to do that successfully.

Software problems
And a system being pushed way to hard to be operationally when was nowhere near out of the T&E phase

Nope.
It's a rare thing, but in this case, 100% of the Osprey crashes to date have been failure of the aircraft, not of the pilot. Some of them make for really sad reading.
