Truck/barge mishap
GCaptain had this titled as "Truck FAILS backing on barge..."
Um. NO, girls
More accurate to say, fucking morons fail to secure barge, AND the tug does not push ahead to keep the barge pressed against the bank. You know. That physics101 thing. Jesus Christ.....

I never saw the driver escape the cab, either.

I feel better now, thanks.
The related video accusing Mrs. Obama of being a man was amusing.

I read about a locomotive engineer missing a signal and pushing several boxcars off the far end of the car float into New York Harbor.

On the list of "who done wrong," the truck driver's name only appears as "failed to make sure other idiots were doing their job."
However, does it strike anyone else as suspicious that:
-the truck driver calmly exits the truck and calmly watches?
-there are two cameras that we know of rolling?
-the guy recording with his cell phone simply laughs when it's over?
-no one is running, screaming, yelling, or waving arms?
-that no one notices the barge shifting backwards after the aborted first attempt?

The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

I can add a lot to it.
First, in any such situation people in Russia use a lot of Russian swearing. It would be normal. But there is nothing of that sort here. No emotions, no even a surprise.
When the trailer stands at a big angle to horizon, it seems one pipe shifts. A worried voice behind the camera says, "a pipe may go away". At the end, after the floating things from the truck pop up, the same voice calmly states, "Ural has gone..." (Ural - the model of the truck).
The guy who shoots with mobile phone looks like a tourist with his bag with the sign "Russia"
It seems, the public that shoots the accident is just waiting for something (possibly - for their transportation), so the whole event is no more than an amusing show to them.
