A riddle. Why do students, especially graduate students, (this is told from the faculty member's perspective) need to have two ears?

Hmmm, well no, not quite although having more ears than mouths does justify the answer. (lol) The way I used to put it was "So that anything that goes in one ear can get out the other before it does any damage." Similar sentiment.
