Slightly Modified Rogue One Trailer

Postby kham » Fri Nov 11, 2016 3:15 am

With a small bit of new footage here and there.
It's been released in the Far East apparently - and the net of course... :P

Footage can be found Here

nothing terribly new, but some nice touches. The space battle footage is a modern version of what we saw in The Original. And THAT , is only a good thing

Couple seized shots here...

They call it the Death Star....jpg

Only a test shot, low -power of course...

Can't make a movie about the Death Star and not shoot the big gun. Caution: Do not look directly into laser.

Hey, if this works, any chance of seeing Alan Dean Foster's SW novel "Splinter of the Mind's Eye" on the big screen?
Not that I particularly want to see a young Leia in quicksand, but I could deal with it in the overall context of the film.

BTW, if you're a SW fan and haven't read it, do so posthaste.

From the split-second look in the trailer, it looks like they have the firing board configuration dead -on like it was. Give me the the little music piece that came with the firing sequence and I'm good.

IIRC, the control board is/was a video switcher well recognized by folks in the broadcast industry.

If it wasn't the original prop, finding a replacement probably wasn't terribly difficult. 8-)

Yes, but the paying attention to little details in continuity like that is a very good thing. Being sloppy about it, leads to scorn and worse. Thinking the viewers have not been paying attention , for example, over the last 30 years or so.... And most fanatical fans tend to be less than forgiving of such things :P
