Confused vegetable Plants

I know it is unusually warm more or less everywhere but my vegetable plants seem a tad confused. I just, TODAY, picked four tomatoes and two peppers and the potted tomato plant known as the Thing That Ate Cleveland last spring is still alive. I am not bringing it into the greenhouse, though, for fear it might eat me.

Even here in Canada, some plants are confused. I found one clump of tulips starting to sprout, and our colchicums (fall crocus), which have finished blooming long ago, are starting to shoot up their spring leaves. Our haskap (honey) berry bushes are starting to bloom already (means less flowers/berries next spring), and even though our tomato patch turned to mush a month and a half ago, we still have one small volunteer tomato plant that still has green leaves, although it is yellow on top from lack of strong sunshine (it hadn't produced any buds yet, and won't live much longer). Our calendulas are gracing part of the edge of our driveway with a sizeable patch of orange flowers (which are edible, but I never tried them). We still have some hardy vegetables left such as leeks, onions, shallots, a few arugula, one kale (all the rest were eaten as sprouts by quail) and a field of thumbelina carrots. And they are forecasting rain or wet snow overnight.

Before the snow hit, we had a few confused Dandelions popping up. And the flowers (the plants, anyway) in the hanging planters on the porch are refusing to die, even after a week of freezing cold. Thawing today; if we get the forecast rain, we may be snow-less again.

Well there is more vegetable confusion. Today i discovered my crabapple tree is IN FLOWER. This is not good!
