Wow. That looks good. Like, really good. Never read the comics, so I'm not sure who War Machine is, but I'm liking the shoulder mounted mini gun.

Awesome!

We're almost there- Japan's Cyberdyne has actually gotten powered-exoskeleton tech working. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=real-life-iron-man-exoskeleton So it's just a matter of covering the unit with some composite armor, adding weapons, and you have a battle suit.
Still going to have to wait for that cool micro-fusion reactor (or another suitably compact power source) to get the boot jets and repulsors, though. :(

A company named after a company that built a computer that causes nuclear armageddon built an exosuit named after a computer that went berserk and killed a bunch of astronauts? Something about that doesn't bode well.....
Here's one Lockeed Martin's working on.

And pretty soon, they won't be limited to the range of the battery packs:

No, contrary to internet myth, it won't eat dead bodies; they don't burn so well. Woody biomass is it's preferred snack, but it can run on oil, coal, or almost anything else that burns. The secret? An ultra-compact, high tech steam engine! http://cyclonepower.com/

Not quite sure where in Mavel Comics War Machine comes along, but seemed like it was a suit of armor built by Tony Stark and used by his friend James "Rhodey" Rhodes. On a Saturday Marvel cartoon series that was shown long ago, the suit was featured with Rhodey wearing it and other members of the Avengers, to include Iron Man, trying to bring him under control. That interpretation of the suit appeared to sport rocket launchers on each shoulder.

It still creeps me out even if it can't 'eat' people. I don't mind robots, I don't mind powered armor, but giving anything autonomous the ability to self-power and defend itself scares the bejesus out of me. Show me something like that and the first thing I think of is the ED209 boardroom scene from "Robocop" (ED is still my all time favorite killer robot). 8-)

Autonomous, self-powering and able to defend itself- like, say, a horse?
