In shipping news, office notice says that the 3 salties they purchased a couple years ago will be coming in under Canadian flag starting this year, in June, September and October, for service on grain and ore trade; this is a good thing, but I wonder at their state; all 3 were built in the mid-80s and while I am familiar with the company that owned them before, wear and tear on the ocean is different than on the lakes. Just the difference in salt water to fresh makes a huge difference in steel wasting. Still, if they in halfway good shape, might be a good thing .

Oh and in the 'win a case of beer' stuff, first time on net a post on how the build coming out of China will be an ULS ship after all..... gosh, what a shock :lol:

I should have bet a case of JD or Glenlivet ;)
