Oh Hey, The NHL is Back

Postby kham » Tue Oct 10, 2017 11:24 pm

Actually last Wednesday, but I not addicted so bad I MUST WATCH EVERY SINGLE GAME.... :D

Caught my eye tonight, with the Canadiens having their opener at home

Alex DeBrincat scored his first NHL goal and set up another as the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Montreal Canadiens 3-1 on Tuesday night. The loss dropped the Canadiens to a 1-3-0 start with the club having scored just five goals in four games
In the grand scheme, meh. However.... remember maybe 4 months or so ago? When Montreal croaked, and died AGAIN in the playoffs, and that whole "need to score more goals" thing came up. AGAIN. I knew you would  So here we are, 2+ years on, same problems, and same NON-solutions.
Oh. That OTHER Canadian Team, the one down the 401 a few hours? The one who actually spent time and money on GETTING BETTER? They 3-0-0. And only the Hawks have scored more goals (21) Leafs have 19. On that front alone, and it's way too early (although I would bet any of you money , some of Leafs Nation have the parade route mapped out.... :D ) I would die happy :P

Also, that expansion team (even I forgot) presently doing halfway ok, kicking Arizona's ass as we speak. Go figure

For all practical purposes for me the NHL no longer exists. It no longer seems possible to pick up the audio broadcasts on any reliable basis and even if it was possible the data cap on the internet connection here would make it impractical.
