I'm actually quite embarrassed about posting this here, but I can't think of any place else since this is the only fetish related website I'm a member of.

Anyway, for the past few years, on and off, I've been looking into getting a custom fetish movie made. The content has nothing to do with quicksand and is very, very niche. I'm looking for something like this (with additional content that I won't mention here), but with the roles reversed. I want a woman to interact in this way with a man. Warning, NSFW!

I've looked at several "professional" websites and I've run into the same set of issues on each and every one of them. These include:

1) There are no male "models" to choose from. Only female. With male hands being the focus of my video, having a male model is necessary.

2) In addition to there being no male models to choose from, there were also no "average looking people" to choose from. Everyone looked like....well, models! I understand that super good looking people are a necessity to most people who want fetish movies made, but I'm predominately attracted to your average Joe. Plus, having average looking people in my video makes the senario seem more realistic (I don't know if that makes sense)

3) No way to determine the legitimacy of the websites and the services they offer? How do you know you won't get scammed?

What it basically boils down to is this: There is very little, if any way for straight women, to get custom fetish movies made. If there are, I haven't found them yet.

So, how do I go about getting a male focused custom fetish video made? Should I advertise on Craigslist for models, cameramen, editors, etc...? That sounds super dangerous! Is there a website that I've over looked? I honestly do know what to do. I feel lost and overwhelmed. The video doesn't even have to be a professional video. It could be something someone shot in their bedroom. I did manage to get a couple of people to send me short solo videos in the past. One guy was/is a friend the other was someone I'd know online for about an hour. Those two are no longer options for reasons.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

You might try looking at a site that offers model portfolios, of which the best in my view is modelmayhem.com. You can search by location, interest, etc, for models, photographers, and about anything else related. As for no getting scammed all I can say is be cautious. It does happen. I know of both clients and models who have felt cheated, if not actually scammed, making customs. I would suggest not using a site such as Craigslist for this - by using a site that offers so many different things I would expect the probability of being scammed would be higher.

A prime reason you tend to find a shortage of ordinary-looking people offering to do customs is probably that if they do try to offer to make such things they will get very little response and then stop trying. On the other hand, many models who look like models are also producers and may know of people they could use as performers.

I think you will find it quit difficult to get most producers to let you choose from a list of models, especially
of models who are not regularly doing fetish material. To do some would almost certainly require them to send pictures and that involves privacy issues when you have not paid the model a fee or obtained a release. When I have a customer for a custom who insists on selecting the model I have to inform them that the fee will be higher and a good deal so. You might have better luck if the video you want involves JUST the hands but , as I said, I have not looked at the link yet.

A bit more about trying to avoid being scammed in commissioning a custom.

First, there are no guarantees in this sort of thing. Nevertheless, there are a few things that might help.

First, look at the payment issue from the model's point of view. Any model is going to insist on 100 percent payment in advance. There is good reason for this. Models and producers who do custom scenes, myself included, continually encounter people who might best be described as cheapskate clients. Typically, such an encounter will start with a request for a price for a very simple scene. Once that price is given the cheapskate client begins adding requirements and simultaneously objecting vociferously if there is any increase in the price. Then there will be difficulties with how payment is to be made - the client might even ask for bank account information so as to make a transfer. [Any producer or model with the intelligence of a tree knows at this point its a scam.] Alternatively the "client" might try to get the producer to agree to be paid when the scene is delivered. Nope... the check might be "in the mail," but it will never arrive. There is usually no possibility of checking on the reputation of the client, but it is possible in most cases to check on the reputation of the producer.

It is also good to have an idea of what a custom usually costs, but to also interpret that in light of what is actually required. For example, you might read that some models will do customs for, say $10.00 per finished minute, or even less, but if you did just a little deeper you will find that such a price will apply to something that can be shot very easily and will require almost no editing. Something such as 10 minutes of the model's feet walking through some mud and shot by the model with a hand-held camera might go for that price but if the scene requires a more complex set, two cameras, one or more camera operators, more than one model, or any but the most elementary editing will cost more - possibly quite a bit more. Assuming the model and the videographer are the same person, ask yourself how much time and how much equipment will be required. Model, videographer, and editor all deserve to be paid for their time and you cannot, reasonably, expect someone who works on a contract basis to work for minimum wage. A single HD video camera of any quality is going to be a $500.00 investment at the least, and quality editing software - not to mention the computer - costs more than that. Just because the model or producer already has that equipment and software does not mean each custom job should not pay its share of that cost.

If you look at portfolios of models or photographers at a site such as modelmayhem.com you will see both mention their willingness, or lack thereof, to work on an arrangement known as TFP (Time for Prints) or TFCD (Time for CD). Basically, this refers to an agreement that the model will not be paid in money but will receive prints or a CD with prints that may be used in certain ways, and that the photographer may not make commercial use of the results of a shoot. This can be a fair arrangement when both parties can gain by the experience, but it is not fair in the case of doing a custom scene. There MIGHT be an exception if, for example, the photographer has such a wealth of experience that it is beneficial to the model to do some free work, but this would be rare. The point is that the exchange needs to be fair to both parties.

A final point is to bear in mind that everything is negotiable. A model's portfolio might provide the model's rates for various kinds of work but there is very often some room for negotiating something different. Nevertheless, once the model says no, keep in mind that no means no.

Having a custom scene made seems to be a bit more than I can handle at the moment, but is something I'd like to pursue once my life is a little more stable.
