A bit of a somber request

Postby swords0906 » Mon May 28, 2018 5:32 pm

Hey everyone,

I'm afraid I'm gonna have to be tonight's designated bummer, but i have a simple request to make. It's very important to me, but I'll try to be brief.

My mother was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of small cell lung cancer. It's the kind that normally happens to older men who smoke, men older than my mom, and she hasn't smoked in years. Her doctor said that because of her unique case, he can treat the cancer aggressively, and that there are factors on her side, but Cancer is a bastard.

Not sure she'd really like this place that much, but the reason I'm posting this is to encourage any who read who can do so to pray on her behalf, which is about all I can do right now. She's already in her fair share of prayers, and I don't know how much help more would be, but it's always good to stack the odds.

Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Really sorry to hear that man. The bitch of it is even if you quit you're always going to be at a higher risk for it.

My Dad just recently ended 6 months of Chemo for Colon cancer. Cancer free now but it was a close thing.
