This ought to be an easy one:

Trivia 1:
Winston Churchill was Prime Minister of Great Britain twice. Name one head of state who was in office at the time Churchill left office the first time and also when he took office the second time.

Trivia 2:
Name a head of state who was in office when Churchill left for the second time and who is STILL in office today.

Frank Sinatra was the Chairman of the Board throughout both of Churchill's terms as PM.

And Elvis took the throne in 1954, while Churchill was still in his second sitting.

There are several answers to Q1, the most obvious being George IV (1936 - 1952).

I only know of one answer to Q2, that is Tanzin Gyatso - Tibet (1939 - Present) (also an answer to Q1).

First asnwer is not correct, although close. I believe you meant George VI, although that is not correct either. The second is not the answer I expected, although it might be argued as close. According to my source, Tanzin Gyatso (the Dalai Lama) requested to be removed as the ceremonial head of the government in exile of Tibet in 2011.

Oops got my roman numerals transposed. I did mean George VI for Q1. I'm Not sure why you think this was wrong though. There are plenty of other answers including: Harry Truman, Stalin, Farouk 1 of Egypt, Haile Sekassue (Ethoiopia) etc.

Overlooked the obvious for the second answer: Queen Elizabeth II.

The answers expected were Harry Truman and Elizabeth II.

George VI died the same year but before Churchill took office the second time. Stalin was technically not the head of state. You are probably right about Haile Selassi, and Farouk 1
