Here is another Dr Who trivia item.

Aggressive plants appear in several Dr Who stories, in both the original series and the modern one. In which episode is there a plants that apparently eats someone, or at least takes someone into what is best described as its mouth? And who, or what, gets eaten?

I know of only one correct answer to this but freely concede there could be more.

The episode is "The Invasion of Time" The plant is part of a collection aboard the tardis, and its a Sontaran who gets engulfed.
