Have used, can confirm. A tank runs an easy 6 hours or so.

I would just go get a 20lb cylinder, way more economical than those throwaways. If you're in a well insulated house with the 18,000 btu model you can keep the temps comfortable for 2 days and livable for as long as 4 days if you're willing to dress warmly and sleep under a couple blankets.
