I believe I actually miscounted the “Bush” total as well. I did count the elder’s two times as VP, then two attempts as nominee for President. Then came two for the younger as President. If you include unsuccessful attempts at the nomination then you add brother Jeb (2?) times as well. And I suspect that is not the last of them.

If we start looking at attempt at seeking the nomination, even limited to those ultimately successful then I think data would be very hard to obtain.

Also, I forgot one other with five - Nixon.
