He had spent a lot of time in Nashville before moving to Middle Tennessee quite a while back. Got his start in clubs down on Jefferson street with Ike Turner and a young Jimi Hendrix among others. In later years he would hit Wendy's by Vanderbilt for a Frosty and wave to everybody. Very friendly, very different, absolutely one of a kind.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for over 20 years. Thank you.

One of the original Great Ones, without which America might still be square dancing.
RIP Richie, thanks for the tunage.

Long Tall Sally always makes me think of the Helicoptor scene from Predator, with Jesse Ventura uttering the timeless line "This stuff will turn you into a Goddamn sexual Tyrannosaurus just like me!".
