Re: Chuck Yeager RIP
I saw him at the Reno Air Races in the early 1980s. They held a drawing and a winner got to go for a ride in a 2-seat Mustang with the man.
I didn't win
Blue Skies forever, General. Right stuff there, indeed.

today we take breaking the sound barrrier as routine, but when he did it he was a true pioneer

Re: Chuck Yeager RIP
A righteous warrior and bearer of the Right Stuff. He had what it took to go where no man had gone before and come back every time. I read both his books and he was more than just a fortunate hillbilly with a need for speed. As if becoming an Ace in one day and breaking the sound barrier wasn't enough, he will most likely forever hold the record for surviving altitude in a flat spin, among many other near death experiences.

It's a dirty job but I got to do it for over 20 years. Thank you.
