Mira Furland

Mira Furlan, best known for playing Delenn on Babylon 5, passed away recently from the West Nile Virus. She was 65 :(

Mira played Delenn for 5 seasons and a few movies and was one of many shining stars on the show that in my opinion was/is one of the best pieces of Sci Fi on television. B5 was the firs show to use CGI for 100% of their special effects which was ground breaking at the time.

I got to meet Mira at a convention a few years ago. She was very sweet and giving to everybody there, even to me, the schmuck that was the last in line for an autograph.

A great light has gone dark in the universe with Mira Furlan gone. I will miss her terribly. She now joins many of her B5 alumni who have passed beyond the rim.

Andreas Katsulas (G'Kar),
Stephen Furst (Vir Cotto),
Jerry Doyle (Michael Garibaldi),
Richard Biggs (Dr Stephen Franklin),
Michael O'Hare (Cmdr Jeffery Sinclair),
Jeff Conaway (Zack Allan)

She was quite a lady!
Tarzan to Jill Hardy: Girl be still. Not sink!!"
From "Valley Of Mystery" : Don't struggle and do not thrash around; that just makes things worse!
