Sad news from Hollywood:

Legendary actor Bruce Willis has been diagnosed with aphasia, his family confirmed on Wednesday.

“To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family, we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities,” his family wrote in a joint statement shared to each of their Instagram accounts, adding that he will be “stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”

“This is a really challenging time for our family, and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion, and support,” the “Die Hard” star’s family continued. “We are moving through this as a strong family unit and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him.

“As Bruce always says, ‘Live it up,’ and together we plan to do just that,” the statement concluded, which had been signed by his wife Emma, his ex-wife Demi Moore and all of his children.

Life just isn't fair sometimes. Never seen a movie with him in it I didn't like.
Funny story, I won the office Christmas sweater contest one year with a "Now I Have A Machine Gun Ho Ho Ho" sweatshirt.

It's sad, but in a world that is safer, odds are you will 'go out' from complications because of living beyond your biological years.

One of my favorite unspoken lines of all time.

He always struck me as a really good guy that is as close to "normal" as you could get in Hollyweird. Encountered him one time at an event and he was rocking the funky white hairstyle for The Fifth Element that he was shooting at the time. Extremely casual, unruffled, guy who was just doing his thing and bothering nobody. Almost seemed determined to stay out of the way of people trying to do real jobs. He obligingly posed for another short movie star photo next to my wife. She could now add that to the ones with Sylvester Stallone and Billy Ray Cyrus barely more than shoulder high next to her.

Evidently he's known this is coming for a while. Read where he's sold off $67,000,000 worth of real estate over the last year so he's been getting things in order. I hate this for him. He's going to have a swarm of grandkids someday and deserves to enjoy that.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for over 20 years. Thank you.

You know, it’s so odd that this has happened. Saw him in something current not too long ago (can’t for the life of me remember what it was) and I remember thinking that he looked and sounded noticeably older. Not only that, I could tell his cognitive abilities were diminishing. Same thing for Keanu Reeves too, maybe not dementia, but a definite decline due to aging.

It appears as we grow older, more and more of our childhood gets snatched away. A sadly overlooked film that I thought was a great portrayal of his ability to pull off his dramatic and his action tough guy persona in one shot was Tears of The Sun. Highly recommend it for those looking to dive into his works as we recognize him

Seriously hate this for him and lifting him and his family in prayer.
