My next project started, after 3 months of walking around the thing. I built a 1:200 Yamato when I was 17, and after it broke up over the years built it again in 2018. These things take work so here is the Arizona, started with new decking and stand. Updates will be posted.

You're really good at this. How long do you expect it will take you to finish?

I remember seeing pics of the Yamato. That was an awesome build. This one looks like it's going good too. Is it from a kit or are yours complete one-offs?

I built a 1:300 Scale Bismark last summer from a Brick Kit. Nowhere near the level of what you're doing here but it came out nice and was fun. The same company makes a Musashi kit too, been thinking about that one. :)

Arizona is a Trumpeter kit - the Yamato is Nichimo and I also built a 1:250 Yamato. This kit, by Arii, includes parts for Musashi conversion. 42" long and I like it better than the Nichimo. DO NOT get the Doyusha Yamato EVER.

No worries, I don't have the talent for real models. I'll stick with bricks. :)
Here's my beast. 1,976 pieces and a hair over 33"

:D
COBI is great and just as good as LEGO. They do lots of Tanks (like the ones at the table) from different periods and also planes.

Good job
April 7 of this year marked the 77th anniversary of the sinking of the battleship Yamato. They say more US planes were use to sink that one ship than what Japan used at Pearl Harbor.
A few years ago I found out that my aunts first husband actually brifely served aboard the Yamato prio to its sinking

Looks like a good start. :)

It's pretty obvious that it is the post modernization version. I wonder if anyone even offers how she looked in the 20's.

She didn't waste any time finding the sweet spot in that bog. She does manage to struggle out. Temporarily. Always liked that scene.
