Bill Russell, just about beyond dispute the most dominant basketball player to have ever played the game, has passed away at 88. [As a biy I got to see him play.] In addition to EIGHT consecutive NBA titles as a player, and a ninth as a coach, he also one the NBA title and an Olympic Gold medal. While I never met him in person I know he had a reputation as a fine human being as well.
