A Trivia Category - Dr Who Greatest Lines

This is not a trivia question. That is to say, I do not have an answer, per se. It is basically a trivia question with multiple answers, each of which is a matter of opinion.

The question, "What is the greatest "line" from any Dr. Who. It might be spoken by the Doctor, one of the companions, or anyone else. So that others might understand better, please include some context along with each reply and provide some highlight for the great line.

Here is an example: The Doctor, Rose, and a third young man picked up in the previous episode have just arrived on a space station in Earth orbit. As all three look through a view window at the Earth below, the young man is overwhelmed and faints.

Dr: (somewhat scornfully) "He's your boyfriend."

Rose: (more scornfully) "Not anymore!."

Amy Pond: "Something's grabbed onto my legs!!"

From the episode "The Hungry Earth", from the modern series.

In which, during a localized, artificially caused earthquake, Amy jumps over a strange hole in the concrete to help a guy. The ground breaks open and Amy falls into a quicksand-like earth and begins to be pulled down, pantyhosed legs-first into the steaming ground.

Best line ever from that series! IMHO, of course. :D

Good one. Not sure all the great lines have to involve quicksand though.

- The Second Doctor. (Patrick Troughton)
- "The Ice Warriors".

One of my favorites is from the 4th doctor's first episode. He has just regenerated and is still in some shock. He is trying to show he is just fine, but getting things a little confused.

His line, "Why is a mouse when it spins?..... I never did get that one."

One of the funniest lines is in the closing moments of the Third Doctor Jon Pertwee's The Mind of Evil from 1971...

After finally defeating the Master, the Doctor is sitting with Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart, Jo Grant and other members of UNIT having tea, and the Master gives the Doctor a smarmy phone call, stinging the Doc in just the right way....

Jo Grant: "Don't worry Doctor...you've beaten him!"

The Doctor: "Have I, Jo? He's got his TARDIS back, while I'm stuck here on Earth..." (gives the Brig a withering look) "...with YOU, Brigadier!!!"

Lethbridge Stewarts leans back and gives an amused grin.
