National EAS Test 10/4 at 1:20 PM CST

Just in case you haven't heard, or needed a reminder, there will be a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System on Wednesday the 4th or Oct at 1:20 pm Central Standard Time. It will make your phone screech for about 30 seconds as well as television and radio. Contrary to popular misinformation it's not a Russian hack or intended to activate the 5G zombie virus in your Covid vaccine.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for over 20 years. Thank you.

I was at the dentist this afternoon with my phone off, but people there said it was only several seconds long and then it was over. The office Muzak went on uninterrupted, however. No zombies here (suburban Philly, PA), either.
