Near the end of Tom Baker's career as Dr Who, there is a brief sequence during which he and Adric discuss getting some service done on the Tardis. During this sequence, there is a line spoken by the Doctor that is a quick but very obvious inside joke. Can anyone say what the joke is? This will probably be a difficult one.

OK here is the answer: Adric suggests the Dr work on the problem himself. The doctor replies that this type of tardis is "not really my forte." The tardis is often referred to in other places as a "type 40."
