Oh, no! You just triggered a Google search on whether robins freeze to death in the winter.

Good news: Your birdie is probably doing okay.

Another example of good news, bad news, is several weeks ago, I saw the first honeybee of the season. Then, a few days later, we got a dump of snow, and several days after that, temperatures plummeted to around -10˚C, or 14˚F before warming up again. We now are getting up into the mid-teens (˚C), or high 50's to low 60's (˚F), with some places expected to get into the low 20's (˚C), or high 60's to low 70's (˚F) over the next few days (here in Vernon, on Sunday we should peak at 19˚C, or 66˚F while the normal high for here is 9˚C, or 48˚F), before things cool off back to near normal for the latter part of next week, with a 40% chance of rain showers or snow flurries forecasted for Thursday night as of the time of this posting.

I have been hearing robins occasionally over the past several weeks, but now more frequently. But, they are a menace to my bog plants in my pond, digging up the soil and moss  , although they haven't touched it yet this year as of this posting.
