Quicksand Fans

I found a way to get some video screen captrue of my drawing process sped up and time lapsedand posted up on Youtube for anyone who's interested. But due to the goody-goody nature of youtube.... I won't be posting any drawing vids which involved quicksand But that still doesn't me you can't enjoy the sexy.

Interesting to see you at work. I never realized how much work inking actually is.

The only thing I did not quite get is, why you did not make more use of the fill tool, especially for the initial hair coloring.

The fill tool tends to leave a thin ribbon of uncolored area, that I'll have to go back and re-color. I use the fill tool for larger areas, areas which require more detail I use the brush tool.

Thanks for the art lesson. I know you put a lot into into your art by how good it looks, but I never appreciated before just how much work goes into it, if you follow my meaning.

My eyes have been opened... and my admiration of artists continues unabated...

That was really cool to watch! Having done drawings with a pencil and having to go back and erase then erase then erase something and redraw it several times because it just wasn't quite what I wanted, I can appreciate watching you redo even the smallest of details, such as the knot on one of her bikini brief strings. Watching your coloring technique in action was fascinating. Your choice of music was cool as well. Thanks for sharing!

That was very interesting. I can see you adjusting colors and changing your mind about things as you go. It came out great. Some things, like the highlights you put in her hair, weren't apparent as to what you intended on close-up but when the view backed away and showed the whole picture, it suddenly worked beautifully.

Having done photoretouching, I got it right away about why you were coloring manually instead of using a fill tool. I have Photoshop, and it does exactly the same thing, and no, I don't appreciate that little ribbon of white either!

Oh lulz, I thought I was hallucinating for a second there when you flipped/minimized the program real quick. I saw a yellow image that screamed, "Project.D FD3S"... I giggled when I discovered you had the Lucky Star parody in the background playing in Youtube. XD

Anyways, back on topic... that's some wicked shading. Your coloring/shading really brings these pictures to life! <3 I actually thought you started with a blank piece of paper in Photoshop... never woulda imagined these kickass pieces started on paper.

WOW That's quite an eye on you! Just BARELY a split second and you saw the Project. D/Lucky Star parody in the background. That was a Lucky Star AMV with a song by Sex Machineguns playing while I drew.

I can't do the drawing without the paper now. I think it's an advanced technique that people can CG thier artwork without the use of pencil sketching.
