Nessie remembers him well but on the 5th his time had come and he was put to sleep - miss him much

Coming out of retirement to say that yes, I remember that little fluffball Charlie!
I am sorry for your loss. We do live longer and their passing natural, but it's still very painful. I've now had and lost three dogs (all three given to me by people who could not care for them) and every time one passed, it hurt like crazy.
Thank you for sharing the stories with us. Charlie had a good home with you for a long time and for that I am happy!

Sorry to hear about Charlie. I have two friends with pups that are "getting real close".
Nice to hear from both of you though.

That seems to have gone by very quickly. I've got an old dog that keeps beating the odds right now and a younger one that wandered in at Camp MPV three years ago. It's never long enough and you sure do get attached to them. Thanks for sharing Charlie here.

From your previous posts sounds like you gave him the best life a dog could hope for. 18 years is a hell of a good run. RIP Charlie.
