Nessie - Winston passed on

Our 15 year old miniature schnauzer, Winston, passed over to the Rainbow Bridge two nights ago. We were in Atlanta on a family trip, our three dogs at Camp Bow Wow, a wonderful franchise for doggie day care. He went in his sleep, and tonight our family set him in the backyard next to Lambchop, our adopted toy poodle. Charlie and Penny, 4 year old schnodle, are doing well. Well, better than their human owners.

Sorry to hear that man. The longer they live the harder it gets.

I was not aware that you had more dogs than Charlie. I am sorry to hear that. 15 is a pretty good old age for a dog but it is still never, ever easy. Tara went in her sleep too, though, and after having put the dog I had before her through all kinds of medical care and finally euthanasia, I didn't think that going during sleep was so bad.

However, I still miss that little weeniebeanie.

I have no idea about the afterlife, really, but if dogs don't go to Heaven...can it even be called Heaven?

I got my little rat with me now. He's about a handful of warm, cuddly fur.

We now have two dogs - Charlie, the rascal of a MaltiPoo and also a schnoodle, Penny, 4 years old - she misses Winston very much and is coming out of a canine depression. They go through that. They are twins to a degree. See attached.

Now that is wild. You got Charlie by accident, and it's just too weird that he looks so much like Penny. It's almost like the Mysterious Hand Of Fate knows what kind of dogs you like and sends them to you.

Perhaps The Mysterious Hand Of Fate knew that Winston was growing old, and would be gone soon, and when that happened, Penny would need a new companion.

They are both adorably cute and fuzzy.
