A most amazing actress! I've always viewed her as the "Queen of the Actresses." She just seemed to have this air of nobility and royalty about her, and had such a presence in everything she did.

And, if I may say, that's a very nice image you posted of her, Robert. It reminds me of a scene from the Lucy Show (or one of the many versions of it) where Liz Taylor and Richard Burton starred as themselves. Lucy (Lucille Ball) begged Liz to let her wear her diamond ring and then couldn't take it off. Problem was Liz was expected to wear that ring at a special function that day. So, as Liz and Richard stood there greeting guests who wanted to see the ring, it was Lucy's arm (she was hidden behind Liz) that would rise to show off the ring. The difference in the pale complextion of Lucy's arm and the darker complextion of Liz's face was SO "day and night." To me, this showed the versatility of Elizabeth Taylor's capabilities.

Best wishes to Ms Taylor as she begins her new adventure! She will be missed.

I'm pretty sure it was Yousef Karsh, the great portrait photographer, who said she had no bad angles. You couldn't take a bad photo of her. This was a guy who gave up on Eleanor Roosevelt but managed to make Nikita Kruschev look cute. I guess he knew what he was talking about.

I'm kind of a Shakespeare fan and her turn in The Taming of the Shrew with real life love and sparring partner Richard Burton was fun. She really seemed to know where she was coming from on that one.
