Osama Bin Laden is dead!!!!!!!!!!!!
Confirmed by Fox News and AP at 2239 hours EST. Details are sketchy, but the (insert your choice of invective) has been dead for a week- we were waiting for the DNA tests to make sure it was really him and not a decoy. Whether we bombed a cave in Northern Pakistan, or snuck a special ops team into his mansion in suburban Islamabad, either way the US Armed Forces finally caught up to him. Have been waiting an hour for the President (who was supposed to speak at 10:30) to tell us.

Re: Osama Bin Laden is dead!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good bye and good riddance!! Hasta la vista, baby! At least you will never again cause anyone any pain.
Perhaps he came to see the error of his ways, but I wouldn't count on it.
As a political cartoonist, I must admit he was a favorite target. I found that, by laughing at the man, I was able to make him more manageable in my mind. Humor can be a powerful weapon against someone like Bin Laden. If you don't believe me, look at some of the Warner Bros. cartoons or The Three Stooges short films from World War II. I can think of no greater insult to someone like Adolf Hitler or Bin Laden than to make them the object of derisive laughter.
I hope he gets his 72 virgins. I saw a ventriloquist recently whose dummy is supposed to be a cranky old man. He said receiving 72 virgins in Paradise sounded more like punishment to him.
"Can you image having to tell 72 women what they're supposed to do?" he said.
I wonder if his virgins will include Virgin Airlines, Virgin Records, virgin timber, virgin olive oil...
There I go again, laughing at the man. Well, he deserved it!
Good-bye Osama. Don't let the door close on your ass as you're leaving!

About fucking time. Aside from putting his head on a pike, should we burn him, tear his limbs off, or feed him to the impoverished?

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. but it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

In the meantime, I for one, am looking to see where the line forms to piss on Bin Laden's wretched remains.

It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

The latest I heard is a SEAL team nailed him at a safe house/compound in Pakistan... sounds like the ISI must have given him up...
Like the fall of the Berlin Wall, never thought I'd be around to hear the news...
Thought he'd be buried somewhere and no one would ever find him.,., glad to be proved wrong.

They knew his location this past week, but killed him today (the day of the announcement). This will definitely be a day that will go down in history, much like the day of Hitler's death. I am glad that he was positively identified, since over the past many years, there have been uncertainty as to whether he was still alive, or was killed and his body lost forever, undiscovered.
I have heard songs such as "Osama Got Run Over By A Reindeer", and "Oh, Bin Laden"(don't you die too quick, I've come to fuck your fanny with some anthrax on my dick). On South Park, there was an episode where Cartman was using "Bugs Bunny" antics to stick it to Bin Laden, and in a later episode, they got his help to eliminate people from New Jersey who had overrun South Park, after which a soldier killed him during a celebration honoring him for his help.
Good riddance!
I sink, therefore I WAM!!!!

Shame he was buried at sea. I'd have loved the opportunity to take a dump right on that fuckers grave.

First off, it's good that he was removed from power. But I don't believe this will benefit the world as much as all these celebrators seem to think it will.
You're dealing with a dangerous organisation. Yes, Bin Laden was a charismatic and romantic leader. That doesn't make him the only possible leader, and it goes without saying that there will be a new fella in charge in the coming days or weeks. There have already been attacks in Pakistan following the announcement of his death. This could go either way - either it dies down and Al-Qaeda drifts into the night, or they see this an attack and fight back.
Personally I don't believe this US-lead mentality that he should have been killed. He hasn't been able to attack for years because our security has jumped up. So now any possible terrorist, be they Al-Qaeda, IRA, ETA or whoever, will have to try harder.
I like that his presence made flying safer. As someone who travels a lot through Europe, Africa and Asia I have to admit I love the feeling of security as a member of the public who does no wrong.
I don't like what he did. But I do like that we stepped up to make his attacks that much weaker.
But bear in mind this is not over. Bin Laden wasn't the "boogieman"; he was one just the most popular of many crazy, powerful and dangerous individuals that hate the modern world.
(my knee doesn't jerk that much)

This isn't about making the world safer. It's about his raggedy ass being DEAD! DEAD! DEAD! Sure there will be more like him but for now Osama Bin Laden, delusional patriot of misguided assholes everywhere, is DEAD! And you know what? Tomorrow he will still be DEAD! (I love saying that) Osama is DEAD!
