It's not where I want to finish, but I can start my employed resume with a decent place to start.

Everyone wants experience. Now you're going to get some.

Congratulations. 8-)
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

:D Congratulations and good luck! As someone who has been through the unemployment meat grinder a few times, I know the satisfaction of landing a new job. I hope you're happy and find success. :D

Congratulations! I hope it's the start of long, steady, hopefully well-paid employment.

All those exclamation marks, though, do say something about this economy. When people get jobs these days, they add more of them than they did a few years ago. I can remember when that sentence was worth no more than three.

Oooh, my tummy growled!

I've had my own share of employment woes. I work in a field where it's common for companies to go belly-up before they've even been around long.

I am glad it is working out! Hope it not only brings you a nice living but stays fun.

Honestly, I love this thread, and I'm thrilled for you, H8MS. There's nothing like getting your first job in a field you've studied hard to enter, and I'm really enjoying the enthusiasm toward it you're displaying. It's also nice to see someone eager to work his way up; I know so many people who think they're entitled to start from the top, without having to earn their positions or learn along the way.

Keep it up, H8MS. I'm looking forward to the day when you're running your own restaurant. And I hope the appetizers will be on the house when I stop in.
