Yes, I'm a professional wrestling fan and am proud of it. And, I don't care how "fake" people say professional wrestling is, I've enjoyed it from childhood to adulthood. Even today while I'm flipping through the channels, when I come upon a professional wrestling event, I have to stop and watch.

Savage, for me, was one of those wrestlers you loved to hate... and, he'll be greatly missed.

Best wishes to Randy, best wishes to his family and friends, and best wishes for a speedy recovery for his wife, Lynn.

I too will miss the Macho Man... he was from an era when I also followed wrestling fairly closely... and before these dark days of the WWE...
Wrestling was more fun back then, with Hulk Hogan, The Bushwhackers, Roddy Piper and of course the Macho Man, and he will always represent that in my fond memories of wrestling.

Yes it's a shame for another classic wrestler to go out before their time. I remember going to the Garden as a kid and seeing him on a few cards. Wrestling was a different era back then. Late 70s and 80s were fun times to follow the WWF.

He's body slamming angels now. RIP Macho Man.....

And tonight's card at the Heaven coliseum is Macho Man vs. Andre the Giant.

I miss being able to watch wrestling. Granddad and I used to watch it together on Sundays. He eventually resorted to watching it with the sound turned off before giving up altogether. I remember there was another pre-WWE wrestling league that we used to watch (AWA?). They had two different belts- one for WWF-style wrestling (only much better done) and one where college and Olympic wrestlers competed in freestyle no-holds-barred wrestling. Those guys were awesome- and fast!

My all-time favorite wrestler was Baron Von Raschke, the Iron Claw.

OMG! Same here! I followed the Baron and Mad Dog Vachon and the rest for years... every Saturday afternoon, my Grandpa and Dad and us kids would watch them tangle on the television. Man, those were the good old days of wrestling.... plus, you were more likely to see fellows like that in your home town arenas, too... and not pay and arm and a leg for it.

It is so true you don't truly appreciate something until it is long gone...
